RMLAU - Ayodhya.
This Sunday, on 1st September, A workshop was organised in Mass Communication & Journalism department of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya. The subject of workshop was 'Social News and Fake News'. Within this topic, students became familiar with social media and became aware of fake news.
Last Friday, Dr. Mukul Srivastava, the Head of Department of Mass communication and journalism department in Lucknow University, came to visit our campus and informed about a workshop is held on this Sunday. As it's a student behavior, we were not happy with it because for a student, Sunday consists huge values and we were going to loss our Sunday. So there was a lack of curiousness.
On 1st, the program started almost at 11:15 AM onwards, while the call for students was at 10 Am. Sometime passed in talking friends the useless things but we were treating like our talks has a own class and these are not less than any American Trump.
We already guessed if somewhere was fun in whole workshop may be here. Our guess stayed right. One PPT presentation was shown in front of us, that was keen interesting and informative. Here, it's also important to appreciate Dr Mukul Srivastava (HOD - Mass Comm - Lucknow University) because his method of teaching was quite different. It was fully energetic and interesting. He taught a lot. Since, starting with a quiz...ended with the whole ways how we can identify Fake news. We also knew about the virul photos of Gandhi ji and Jawahar Lal Nehru, seeing them we had hatred for Gandhi Ji and Nehru.
Our whole workshop ended but no participant has faced even a doze because all was happening on front Screen was full of fun. We learnt a lot and felt such program should held at each Sunday to improve us, to entertain us and to make make us familiar with current society.
The whole credit of workshop goes to our faculty Dr. Vijayendu Chaturvedi, Dr. Rajesh Kushwaha, Dr R.N. Pandey and Dr Anil vishwa. Program was possible because of their efforts. And also it is a dedication of Dr Mukul Srivastava towards the students and their future.
And listen, you can't ignore the importance of participants who sacrificed their Sunday and attended the workshop.

When the guests came, there was silence. Program started on by worshipping Maa Saraswati. After that our some senior girls presented a song - Kal vigyan ka mandir. After that Dr Vijayendu Chaturvedi ( Proff. of Mass Comm & Journalism department ) who was hosting the program, invited to each one to make us familiar with social media and even with their ideology. One or two were so aged, we could not listen to him clearly whatever he said. When this introspective session ended, now next was 'Technical hour'.
